Exeed: Innovative Xero backup solution offers substantial annuity prospects
Date: 5 April, 2016
Exeed is offering resellers what it says is an innovative Xero data back-up solution, with substantial prospect for annuities, after signing to distribute New Zealand company Controlc’s offerings.
Controlc enables companies using Xero accoutning software to back-up financial data and have it stored locally in New Zealand.
Justin Tye, Exeed managing director, says the Controlc solution complements the Xero accounting package and provides businesses with peace of mind, knowing their data is stored locally in Kiwi data centres, available 24×7 and able to be easily supplied to the Inland Revenue Department if required.
“It’s not just for peace of mind, knowing your data is backed up in New Zealand, but you can potentially use the data more effectively to manage your business,” Tye says.
Tye says the offering provides a two-fold opportunity for resellers.
“Firstly, the versatility of the solution means that most companies using Xero will find this a handy additon to the investment they have made in their accounting platform,” he says.
“Controlc is incredibly cost effective and easy to use so almost all customers on Xero will want it.
“Secondly, for resellers who service accounting firms, there is an opportunity to sell this solution into multiple businesses in one conversation,” Tye says. “Of course, annuity is attached to Controlc and given the size of the Xero installed base, the prospect for annuities is substantial.”
Exeed says the Controlc offering, which is Windows and Apple compatible, includes a ‘very user friendly’ app, backapp, which allows companies to view and search backed up data.
Backups are automated and run once every 24 hours, with the data stored indefinitely at New Zealand data centres.
Several formats are available and once downloaded from the local data centre can be viewed and search offline, and converted into versatile reports as required.
Campbell Green, Controlc founder and managing director, says the company is ‘delighted’ to partner with Exeed.
The distributor kicks off its Exeed and Microsoft Cloud Roadshow today, with the roadshow aimed at highlighting the opportunities cloud and annuity services offer resellers, and to provide practical sales advice on how to harness that potential.RETURN TO LATEST NEWS
